Leyla Chykulina is an award-winning and passionate actor and performer. Acting and performing feed her soul, and ironically, it’s when she feels most alive—by being someone else. Each character she plays is an exaggerated version of herself, allowing her to explore and express different facets of her identity.
Currently based in Zurich, Switzerland, Leyla is sharpening her skills at the Tischler Studio with Jesse Tischler. Her multicultural background, a mix of Russia, Kenya, and India, gives her a unique and diverse perspective. She speaks Russian fluently, though she has yet to master Swahili.
When she’s not acting, Leyla loves kickboxing and playing the piano. These hobbies keep her ready for any opportunity that comes her way.
“Be delusional and work towards your dream” is a quote Leyla lives by. As an actress she enjoys taking on roles that challenge her and push her out of her comfort zone.
