COMPANY PROFILE: Coproduction Office applies a distinct approach to its key fields of activity: the

production and international distribution of films by essential auteurs. Philippe Bober’s long-lasting

collaborations with filmmakers Lars von Trier, Roy Andersson, Ulrich Seidl,

Ruben Östlund and Jessica Hausner have enhanced the company with the 2017 Cannes Palme d’Or

and the 2014 Venice Golden Lion, amongst other awards.

The company currently has five films in postproduction (films by Jessica Hausner, Roy Andersson,

Thomas Clay, Gust Van Den Berghe, Heinrich Sabl) and is preparing the marketing and sales for the

films.

Coproduction Office is based in Paris and Berlin, and is looking for a sales and/or marketing

intern to complete our team of seven people. We are looking for a globally-minded and lateral-

thinking colleague, who has organizational skills, a good memory and an interest in art-house

cinema. You will assist our Head of Sales, Sophie Cabon with the preparation of international

festivals and markets.

JOB OUTLINE

You will assist our Head of sales and occasionally our managing director Philippe Bober with some

(and not all) of the following tasks:

 Planning the marketing before each international market

 Ensuring communication with the graphic designers, the decision makers and the printers

 Creating textual elements and occasionally visuals (using InDesign and Photoshop)

 Scheduling meetings for international Markets and festivals

 Following up with international distributors

 Searching for prospective customers, market studies

 Improving and updating the client and deal database

 Occasionally assisting our managing director during festivals and markets (including personal

assistance)

YOU ARE:

 A native or fully-fluent English-speaker with an excellent command of a second language

(German, or Chinese is a plus)

 Proficient with Excel (market studies, budgets etc.), and with InDesign and/or Photoshop

 Able to demonstrate previous experience in the film industry (a plus)

 A perfectionist, with attention to detail and meeting deadlines

 Flexible with a proactive skill set

 Computer savvy and proficient in cloud-based applications and virtual workspaces

 Gain an oversight on different aspects of the company, including finance and production as

we are small and flexible company

 Work in a multi-lingual environment, in a friendly and motivational atmosphere with engaged

and international colleagues who bring commitment and camaraderie to their work

 Obtain valuable experience from working with our Head of Sales, Sophie Cabon, as well as

with our founder Philippe Bober on unique films
