Auditions am 15.3 oder Extras gesucht

We at Nada Productions are looking for actors or extras who would be interested in attending an audition on March 15th. The film will be shot in English.

Roles:

Mr. Kisch (Protagonist/Main-Character):

  • A religion teacher who is haunted by the guilt of accidenitally killling his wife
  • stereotypical, nice teacher (you should have a teacher vibe)
  • obsessed with control
  • hides behind a carefully constructed persona -> clings to his identity as a teacher

Joanna (Main-Character):

  • a Highschool Student
  • skeptical, confident, kinda an outsider but still intellectually bold
  • if you think of a character, kinda like the Girlfriend of Jessie from Breaking Bad.
  • a vibe of a femme fatale

Lorenz (Main-Character):

  • Stoner-like look
  • a Highschool Student
  • sarcastic, disruptive, a provocateur
  • exposes weaknesses in other people, especially Kisch
  • Mirror of Kisch's Guilt

Principal of School (Side-Character):

  • should be older looking
  • conservative person
  • a bit lost in his/her thoughts, overwhelmed

Kisch's Wife (Side-Character):

  • Trophy-Wife

Doctor (Side-Character):

  • older
  • he/she tells Kisch bad news about his wife
  • not good at consoling

Extras: (don't have to audition but there will be rehearsals for the dance-scene)

  • for the classroom-scenes
  • Highschool-Students
  • also for a dancing-scene (should be the same extras that are also in the classroom-scenes)

In the group chat on WhatsApp, you will find a link to a Google Docs file in the group description. There, you will find the entire script (we recommend reading it to better understand the characters).

The roles and their script excerpts for the auditions are also included in the Google Docs file. If you have time, you can sign up in the document, even if you just want to be an extra.

Audition-Place: RAD Gebäude, Rämistrasse 62, 8001 Zürich

The exact location will be communicated in the group chat or via email.

If someone is unavailable during the day on March 15th, they can reach out via email or WhatsApp. (Other options are the evening of March 14th or the evening of March 16th.)

The shooting days are not yet confirmed, but they will most likely take place in April/May (both on weekdays and weekends).

Please note that we are a student organization and this project is driven by a passion for filmmaking and the opportunity for exposure. While we can't offer payment, we hope this will be a great chance to collaborate and showcase your talent!
