CASTING CALL – THE UNSEEN (Short Film)

Does your daughter enjoy acting, storytelling, or performing? We are looking for two young actresses to appear in an emotional short film about two sisters separated in childhood and reunited twenty years later.

YOUNG MIRELLE
Female | Playing Age: 13–15

Appears in pivotal flashback sequences revealing the sisters' childhood.

Protective, nurturing, and mature beyond her years, Mirelle has become a caretaker to her younger sister in the children's home where they live.

• Preferred:
• Mixed Asian-European appearance

Requirements:

• No professional acting experience required

YOUNG RHEYA
Female | Playing Age: 6–9

Mirelle's younger sister. Appears in pivotal flashback sequences revealing the sisters' childhood. Sensitive, trusting, and deeply ttached to her older sister, Rheya sees Mirelle as her safe place in an uncertain world. Though young and innocent, her bond with Mirelle will shape her for the rest of her life.

Preferred:

• Dark hair
• Mediterranean, Eastern European, Turkish, Italian, or ethnically ambiguous appearance

ABOUT THE SCENES

Young Mirelle and Young Rheya appear in two flashback sequences that reveal the emotional foundation of the story. In one flashback, the sisters are together in a children's home. Rheya has fallen asleep after a difficult day. Knowing that she is about to be adopted and separated from her sister, Mirelle quietly says goodbye. Before leaving, she places her treasured necklace around Rheya's neck—a final gift and a promise of love that will connect them for years to come.
