GAFFER NEEDED for Short Film “Letters” – Proof-of-Concept

We’re seeking a dedicated and creative Gaffer to join our team for Letters, a heartfelt coming-of-age short film centered on self-worth, friendship, and transformation. Think To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before meets The Sound of Music, with a warm, slightly vintage aesthetic and a focus on emotional storytelling.

Logline:
When a high-achieving science student begins sending anonymous love letters to her crush, her words forge a connection—but when the truth is hijacked by her rival, she must rediscover her voice and self-worth in the chaos of betrayal and teenage love.

Style: Romantic, lighthearted, pastel-toned, with expressive lighting arcs (e.g., soft golden hues for introspection)

Shooting dates are July 14–16, 2025. Location: Schwäntenmosweg, 8126 Zumikon, We prefer candidates based in or near Zurich. We cover all food costs and remunerate for transport.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience with narrative short films
• Knowledgeable in lighting and lighting set ups.
• Can work with a small crew and tight schedule
• Understands how to light scenes and create aesthetics using light.
