GSFF Call for Filmmakers
Liebe Filmschaffende und Videokünstler (English version below)
Für das diesjährige "Global Science Film Festival" und den Workshop "Science Filmmaking Marathon" suchen wir Filmschaffende, Filmstudenten, Videographen und so weiter, die an diesem Workshop teilnehmen möchten. Ziel des Workshops ist es, Wissenschaftlern, Doktoranden und jüngeren Studenten Video und Film als Kommunikationsmedium für deren Forschungsresultate näher zu bringen indem in 3 Tagen ein Video über ein wissenschaftliches Thema erarbeitet wird. Um den Lernerfolg der Wissenschaftler und die inhaltliche Diversität zu erhöhen rufen wir hier Filmer auf, die schon Erfahrung in der Videoarbeit haben. Teilnehmer ihrerseits profitieren von der Übung ein wissenschaftliches Thema filmisch umzusetzten und es gibt wie immer bei solchen Workshops viel zu lernen. Der Workshop findet statt vom 18.-20. September und das Festival vom 15.-17. November 2019. Einige der im Workshop erarbeiteten Filme werden am Festival gezeigt. Teilnehmer des Workshops dürfen gratis am Festival teilnehmen. Arbeitssprache im Workshop ist Englisch.

Dear Filmmakers and Videographers
For this years edition of the "Global Science Film Festival" and the accompanying "Science Filmmaking Marathon" workshop, we are looking for film students, filmmakers, videographers ect. to participate in the workshop. The goal of the workshop is to introduce scientists, PhD students and Masters students to the medium film and to allow them to use it as a means of communicating their science. The workshop basically consists of producing a video about a scientific subject within its three day duration. We are calling to filmmakers/film students in order to increase the proficiency in all fields related to video among the workshop participants, so that the less proficient scientists can profit from you. Filmmakers in turn will profit from the interesting subjects that the scientists can bring to the table. The workshop takes place from 18th to 20th September 2019 and the festival takes place from 15th to 17th November 2019. Some of the videos produced in the workshop will be screened at the festival. Participants of the workshop have free entry to the festival. Working language in the workshop is English.
