My name is Melanie and I’m a filmmaker based in Basel.

I make experimental / slightly chaotic / comedic / emotionally real stuff

somewhere between diary, dream, and bit

i’m trying to build a small team of people to make things with

not in a super formal way, more like…

people i can trust and create with over time

what i want to make:

low-budget, spontaneous, slightly strange projects

mix of digital, handmade, maybe stop-motion, maybe just running around at night filming things

stuff that feels alive rather than perfect

Influences/ things I love:

Nirvanna the band the show, Nathan Fielder (especially the Rehearsal), Vewn

anything that feels a bit awkward, sincere and slightly surreal.

who i’m looking for:

- camera people (or people curious about camera)

- someone who likes to experiment rather than “get it right”

- kind, open, not ego-driven

- people i can actually feel comfortable around

- bonus if you’re into weird films / music / art

especially looking for:

someone who feels like a co-creator / co-conspirator

like… you don’t just execute, you think with me
