Looking for Gaffer and Make up Artist

Logline: A young woman is lost between long office days, binge scrolling and swiping until she has uncanny encounters with someone, who seems very familiar.

Nora is a twenty-four-year-old woman drowning in the exhaustion of life. She is stuck in a repetitive cycle of fluorescent-lit office cubicles, instant noodles, and the hollow dopamine hits of dating apps. Her internal world, however, is becoming increasingly crowded. The film follows Nora as she starts to see a hauntingly familiar figure in the periphery of her life: Nora Senior. This older, cynical, and crude alter ego serves as a walking personification of Nora’s burnout. While Nora tries to maintain a facade of normalcy, Senior is voicing the intrusive, bitter thoughts Nora tries to suppress.

For this project we are looking for a make-up artist and a gaffer. As this is a student production, we are unfortunately unable to offer monetary compensation. However, we are committed to providing a professional environment, high-quality footage for your portfolio/reel, and full catering on set. We will, of course, cover any project-related travel expenses within the city.

This project is FLINTA-led, and we place the highest priority on creating a safe space for everyone involved. Our goal is to foster a collaborative atmosphere built on intersectional solidarity, mutual respect, and sensitivity. We believe that the energy behind the camera translates to the screen, and we are looking for team members who share these values and want to contribute to an empowering set experience.
